Worst thing ever
Medway/Careflow is the core system and links in with associated systems. Almost all radiological and blood ordering and results can be accessed through Medway. NOTIS is the trust's legacy note system, being the precursor to Medway. Pre 2016 notes are accessible through the system. NOTIS is most commonly used for discharge summaries and TTOs. It's ...More

> 12 months away from dept, may have changed but suspect not: Only came as rotation to AMU from another medical specialty. Pros: Busy department with exposure to a range of cases. Some lovely GIM consultants. Cons: Generally felt unsupported and ignored. Rude AMU consultants near universally - saw them undermine more than one (non-AIM) registra ...More

Limited benefit from an anaesthetics perspective. Can get extremely busy. I personally got to do barely any airways/lines. As mentioned in other reviews, clear systematic preferen ...More

Excellent rotation, especially for those wishing to go into ophthalmology. The workload is reasonable and can almost always be done with one foundation doctor on the rota. This gives rise to opportunities for clinics/eye casualty/theatre/QI etc. Everyone in the department is friendly and there are many teaching opportunities available if you show ...More
